About a year ago i got to new geforce 8600 gt cards that are sli compatible
i instaled them thinking that were working but i just resenty did some upgrades (ie power supply and ram) and i noticed that there is a littel card that needs to be fliped around if you are going to use the two graphic cards so i turned it around and put every thing back together at first the computer would turn on but it would beep twice and there was no picture. so i tried plugging my monuter into the other graphic card and the computer worked fine. I looked into SLI and found i had to enable it but my other graphic card dident show up.

i tried interchanging cards alsorts of stuff finely i clouldent even get my computer working at all so i flipped the sli celector card around and tried instaling one card i found out that that the only slot the gpu would work in is the second (black) pci ex slot the one thay your not supoed to use in the book you are to use the blue slot for installing one card. and if you use two card you still plug the monoter into the gpu in the blue slot.

Please Help have no clue what is wrong!

In summery the my monoter was plug into blue and work but there was no sli and the selector card was set for one card. now the only way i can ge a signal is with one card and pluged into wrong slot (black)
