everything is okay with cable lines but when going wireless on the notebook every so often it will lose the connection and my online game will just hang and i will have to quit LOL

My Averatec does that every so often. I think it's just a fluke with the card as it's not too common.
ANother problem could be interference. Make sure there's nothing else electrical around the AP/Router

The same happens to me as well I have read that it is a problem in windows and not with the wireless cards... No fix ... Until longhorn :-(
