internet keeps disconnectiong and then reconnectiong

hi guys i see the few threads about ppl havning trouble with there internet connections, the only thing different with my problem is my net is connecting and disconnecting every few minutes...

i was wondering is anyone aware of any viruses that might be causeing this problem or maybe the ISP is to blame any information would be greatly appreciated
