Quicktime 6.5.1 Plugin

When I am on my Myspace account, and others who have music that plays, it wont play because I am missing the Apple 6.5.1 plugin. Well I go to uninstall it and it says its not available, so I click on the maunal install, and it takes me to apple.com where I can download quicktime 6.5.2, and ive installed that several times, and I still cant get the music files to play. I dont know what the problem is...I reinstalled my Web Browser..Firefox, and it still doesnt work...so I opened up Netscape, still missing the plugin, when I open up IE it works, but its in Windows Media player style instead of the Quicktime...any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks

I have a similar problem to your; when I go on a web page with the music file embedded, it won't play. I wonder if it work if we installed Quicktime 7

. I can't do this because I have Celeron. You could give it a go if you have the system requirements.

well thanks for the reply...right now quicktime 7 is only for MAC OS, and supposed to be for Windows soon, hopefully that will solve it, I know people who have the same version of quicktime as me and it works fine for them though, I did notice that when I go to tools>options>downloads>plugins and it shows the plugin file extionsion for Firefox and mp3 is not there, and when I looked at my buddies it is there...however I dont know how to put it in there...like I said I have tried to install that plugin so it doenst make sense to me, but I hope someone can help me, or lead me to a place where someone can help me thanks...

I just installed Quicktime 7 for windows...still doesnt work.

Well I finally got it to work, I went to apple.com and went through all the previous versions of all of there software, and found quicktime 6.5.1 and installed it, and it finally works...I still dont know why it wont work with the new version...heres a link to where I went http://www.apple.com/support/downloa...cktime651.html
