Default What's in the future for SSD *Solid State Disks*

Do you think in the near future these discs will be worth getting. I read a lot of bad reviews on these things. I'm looking for a new (gaming) hard drive , to increase performance a tad, also in the near future. I was thinking about a Raptor but what about those SSD's?

Oh star wars is on.
