Question New Laptop...

Hello all,

Someone has asked me to get them a laptop. I have not been keeping an eye on the market so could someone be kind enough to recommend me one?

No particular budget – up to £1600 inc VAT

It does not need to be very mobile, battery life is not important either. Always on mains power.

Ideally XP Pro, but Vista Ultimate I guess

I have looked at Sony AW-11ZB £1326 + VAT, 1920 * 1080, that is Vista Premium and is 18.4” display. Also looked at Dell M1730 at £1689 + VAT, 1920 *1200, 17” display so there the sorta laptops they are after.

What ya think ppl?

Cheers in advance,
Ghost
