LCD TV Question. Quick please!

My mom pointed this out to be in the flyer since she knows I've been looking for a new TV for my room for awhile (And the 32 inch tv I fell in love with in the Sony Store is still $1000+)

Anyway, this is the TV:
Toshiba 40"

It says it has an 8ms response, 1080p, but nothing on Contrast Ratio...

I'm looking around for anymore information on it, like the Colour Contrast ratio and the Refresh Rate speed, but I'm not having much luck. Would anyone happen to know of these, and if it's a good TV for that price of $800? I'm also a into games, action, FPS, etc. I also watch movies (action, pretty much anything). So would an LCD be good?

It says Limited Quantities, and it if it a good deal, I want to try and pounce on it fast.

I guess? I'm not sure to tell you the truth. Right now it's the lowest price 40" LCD I can find. I suppose that means it's a good deal right now.

Well... it is 1080p and it has an 8ms response with a decent contrast of 10,000:1... Newegg says that they should at least have an 8ms response and that a good contrast for an LCD is 1,000:1. It is only $800 before taxes (so... $80 with a 10% tax in my province) roughly $880 when all said and done.

My only problem is that I live just a ways out of the city, and the flyer says it's only Limited Quantities with no rain checks... so I guess I'd have to get there tomorrow to see if it's there, or risk not getting the deal.

I mean, with all those specs, it sure beats the 32 inch Sony I was looking at that was basically $1100...

I think I'll sit and think about it a bit more tonight, see what other responses I get here, then make a final decision while talking to my parents. I have the money, but they'll be in the city tomorrow, not me, so I'll likely have to work a deal with them if I do decide to get it.

it looks like the cheapest around, and the specs are matching or comparable to the competitors, Toshiba is a good brand. also. it's sexy
