I need a good (Freeware) application that will clone everything from my current laptop HDD to a new (replacement) laptop HDD. I only have one HDD slot on my laptop, so I'll also need to know how I'd go about cloning one to another (most likely an SATA->USB adapter?)
I have a hidden restore partition that I want intact and transferred to the new drive, another partition with Vista and apps on it and another partition with my media files (about 22GB of music). Can someone with experience doing this recommend an application (freeware) that can do this, and describe the steps required to complete it? I haven't cloned a HDD in years, usually I just start over fresh and copy my media from the old HDD, but I really want to keep the hidden restore partition that Toshiba pre-installed. Thanks in advance, -Michael
