Default dam ubuntu ( vista! )

hey everyone

Come across a new problem.

This is what i started with

My comuter had an external Hardrive Maxtor 120GB I used that has ubunutu installed on it - So that means that my computer was dual booting with

(internal Hd) Vista Home and (external Hd)ubuntu

so recently i needed to Format the external with ubuntu so that i could use the external for some needed storage.

So this is where the problem starts

When i turn my computer on i get an error saying

---

Grub loading stage 1.5

Grub loading please wait...
error 21

---

I tried using the vista cd to and tried the fix start up option but that said that did not work (said that everything was fine :S)

i would really be happy if a solution could be presented to me

-cheers

Unplug your external hard drive, and try the following:

1. Put in your Vista disc
2. Shut down your computer
3. Start up your computer and boot to DVD
4. Once loaded, enter recovery console
5. Open command prompt and type:

bootrec /FixBoot (click enter)
bootrec /FixMbr (click enter)

6. Reboot your PC, remove the DVD and see if it boots.

If that doesn't work, you can try the following:

Follow steps 1-4 from above and type:

del c:\boot\ /f /s (click enter)
bootrec /fixmbr (click enter)
bootrec /rebuildbcd (click enter)

Repeat step 6 from above, and get back to me.
