Maxtor??
good luck, I've witnessed a lot of failures.

Two CD Burners, one dvd player??
thats strange, why not a dvd/rw

4 fans.. sounds noisy

Sounds like a good setup for the money.
where did you buy?

Like I said, I've witness a lot of failures with Maxtor.
My boss always buys maxtor for his computers.
First, his maxtor fails.
Then I build him a raid with two 120gb Maxtor HD, that went out.
He bought me this external 80gb Maxtor HD, that broke..
My mom used a maxtor in her comp.. gone.

Of course these are only my personal experiences but I would never buy one.

If you have'nt had this problem, and I hope you never do, then thats good.
I'll have to read up on this more.

Hard drive failures usually start with the power supply.

easy on the fanaticsm. if they were all bad Maxtor would be out of business.

because dvdburners often cant burn cds for shit. have a look at the CD/DVD 101 for more info.

Lots of errors with the Patriot missile too but that dont make Raytheon a bad company.

Id argue more harddrives fail from user interactions ... bad voltage tends to corrupt data rather than ruin drives
