I have a Sony Vaio VGN-N38E/W. It originally came with vista but i swapped for xp instead. Ive installed speedfan, but it doesnt list any fans. It lists the cpu temps as between 60 and 70 degrees C which in my opinion is too hot. the fan never seems to spin very fast. How can I get the fan to go faster when its too hot? Is there any other software I can use instead?
Thanks, Picky |

You think 60-70 is hot? My laptop is running at 107 degrees just posting this. Your temps are nothing!
I have also found that speedfan does not normally work on laptops, hence my high temperature. If the manufacturer does not provide tools to change the speed at their website, then it's probably already on 100% by default.
