Red face What is SSD?

Saw this on NewEgg, I think it's a deal, but not sure what it is:

Looks like a new kind of hard drive...but how fast is it compared to 10k and 15k SATA-2 8mb and 32mb hard drives?

SSD - Solid State Drive. Basically a really fast drive (like a hard drive) that has no moving parts; they use technology similar to that used in flash drives. ATM they're really expensive for the capacity they offer, though, so unless you really want bleeding edge stuff, you'd be better off with a really fast HD.
