Default connecting non SATA hardrive?

I have a hard drive (non sata) that i want to connect to my M3N-H HDMI motherboard. Can anybody tell me if this is possible and how it can be achieved, seeing as the motherboard only has sata ports?

regards

Spesh.

Are you wanting to connect it permanently or just temporarily? If permanent, you would need to get a pci ide controller card such as these. If just temporarily, just use the cable from the cdrom drive to connect the hard drive to transfer data off of it.

ok thanks a lot..........if i wanted to upgrade my cd rom drive to a blu ray drive, would it:

a)Need a different connection to the motherboard?

b)Provide full blu ray quality video with this mother board and my pci geforce 9600gt?

cheers

You can get a sata dvd drive and that will leave your ide controller port open for the hard drive.

Another option would be an external drive case that connects to your PC via USB or eSATA.
