Exclamation new mobo and shorted parts info

I hooked up my mobo to the case w/o the standoffs which ended up shorting my mobo. i ordered a new one but how would i find out if anything else was fried such as cpu, ram, hard drive, dvd drives, or video card. Is their a way to tell just by looking or will i have to wait till my mobo arrives in a few days?? Also when it arrives, if some of my parts are shorted will it screw up anything like the brand new mobo?? I realy need to know anything i can before it arrives. Any help is greatly appreciated.

If you don't see any obvious signs of damage you just have to plug them in and see if they work

It's a safe bet that they can't damage the mobo even if they are damaged (usually the PSU and mobo are the only components that can cause cascading failures)

Default Good

Yeah make sure you use the standoffs from now on. It's always good to use your brain first . Anayway...gald it all works now. I managed to short my mobo once.....looked dead for about half a day...came back alive and well.
