Default Super Login time ....

In one of THGs videos.

thg_video_10_athlon64.avi

They test out some CPUs and I saw one computer boot up entitled Windows XP 64 edition running for 2/3 seconds then the computer boots up and everything comes on (icons, start menu) in about one fraction of a second!

Should I expect this too?

I just took a look at the link you posted to that video.... i'l think you'll find that the boot sequence was nearly finished when they cut to it.
i think we're all gonna have to wait for a few years to boot up that quickly

Default Nice...BUT!

It's all great booting up that fast. However, do we really NEED all that? I doubt it. As long as we have decent performance...the extra few seconds will not hurt.

Doable I guess but you'll need to have the system in suspend mode and using a solidstate drive I'd also argue that login was post-capture sped up to keep with the music.

No, not quite. You just need one of these. Decent price too:

You already know this thread:
Fast Solution for Home PC's

But, do you think the video is sped up? I mean, the Samsung memory drive I posted takes about 3 seconds to complete everything. Good point, perhaps they did a capture and speed up the video.
