Default firefox....everything.....gone!!!!!!!!!!

Wheni started my PC up this morning, i opened firefox...The homepage was the firefox startpage...I thought thats weird... I went to change it back when i acedently went to bookmarks....Everything that was there was gone...So it made my look down, and bookmark toolbar ones were gone...And all of my setting hve been reset to the defualt......

How did this happen and how to i get everything back!

Tere are somepages i can't get back to now....

Maybe i could try it... I never think of that becuase i used it so maybe times to get absoltly nothing out of it....and is some cases worse..., any other idea's?

It happens to me all the time and really sucks. For me it asks which profile to use and the default one isnt there. Eventually it switches back to the original profile but thats normally a lot later.

This happened to me like 3 times before, but then I found out a way to get past it. When you open up your firefox, and it asks you for the profile, press ctrl+alt+del, then go to Processes. Choose "End Process" on all of your firefox.exes (I always found two when this happened). Then start up firefox again, and it should be fine, all bookmarks there, and everything.

yea, i use that fix when my firefox goes dodgy. does anyone know why it does this?

Cause it's buggy. Nah just joking. Have any of you searched the net for a solution? I never had that problem. What version of Firefox are you using? I do not have the time but have a look at the latest STARTUP AND PROFILE bug fixes here:

i have had the prob as well before, really pain in the neck, you cant even recover when you try a book mark import from you profile file. Bugger
