Post Sound problem under Win XP Pro

I have a Compaq EVO N410C with dual boot on windows 200 Pro as well as Win XP Pro on different partition , the sound card under Win 2000 is working perfect with no problem at all

But under Win XP it doesn't work as it should be , if you listen to any songs or even watch movie or even chat with friends online over MSN , the sound is like faster than it should be and sound like a baby talking

Here is what I did try to solve this problem and still no chance
1) The sound card is Intel 82801CA/CAM AC 97 Audio Controller
2) I did verify that the latest driver is installed according to windows update web page
3) Try different player such as Windows media player & Winamp & Real player and I get the same problem - so it is not a player problem
4) I reformat the partition with NTFS and re-install Win XP and still same problem
5) I am sure that the sound card it self is working great as it is function perfect under Win 2000

Could you help me please with any other solution ??
