Question What is the difference between an Intel P4 and a AMD 64

What is the difference between these to CPU's? Also which is the better deal for the price? Is it true that with an Intel P4 you can run applications much faster and with the AMD 64 its only good when it comes to games? I need help because I need to buy one soon, thanks.

Uh...... everything aside from the fact they both use electricity and are made in similar manner etc.

Some benchmarks/tests will show the P4/A64 having an advantage here and other show the exact opposite for the same conditions. Regardless, you'll find that either the P4C or thr Athlon64 are both good chips and will get the job done. As for best bang-for-buck I'd prolly go with the P4C as you'll probably want to wait for prices for the A64 chips to drop
