Where do i find that? If its on the windows xp disk it doesn't work. When i put the disk in and it says it is starting up after a few seconds that stops and nothing happens. I tried the disk in a different comp just to be sure it worked and it worked in a different one but not the one i need to fix.

If i was to reinstall windows xp OS using an upgrade from the cd in safe mode would i have to reregister the OS?

Ok, i was able to get the recovery thing going but it still doesn't work. I could really use some help here.

YAAAAAAAYYYYY, i was finally able to get it working. After i logged into my account and the desktop disappeared again i had opened up taskmanager before it disappeared and i opened up a new process and i put c:\ for the new process and my desktop cam back.
