OHHHHH! i got the newest from PNY for XP but not Nividia. Ill try that out. But i may have made the prob becuase i didn't install the cd it came with i just went to pny site and installed their newest driver for gf4 cards! But how could it eat my start menu and task bar.

Do i need to uninstall the Pny drivers then install the nividia mx 420 drivers?

Nope i find out i due have the latest drivers from nividia pny just gives you a link their site. Should i try reinstalling the software?

Im saying in reference to older cards that were before the XP erra. They came with drivers for ME, 2000, 98 whatever which wouldnt be compatable for XP. You cant go wrong getting the most recent from the cards site. Just make sure you delete your old ones

It's fixed now thx for the help guys. What happened is that after i uninstalled the original graphics driver it came back after start up and conflicted with the new drivers so i disabled it in device manager and now it works. Thx guys

If you install the chip drivers you dont run into problems like that (well at least with nVidia... dunno about ATi drivers as i dont deal with them day in day out)
