Default 8gb memory kit

for a future upgrade (maybe a year or so) I would like to get 8gb of dual channel DDRII. I can't seem to find this currently (as I expected) but I was wondering if we might see that any time soon or will manufacturers focus their energy on DDRIII and triple channel?

i think you mean 4 x 2gb sticks?

also, ddr3 already here, think about it before you spent too much on ddr2. your motherboard manual should tell you the type of memory you can use, especially if you plan to upgrade on this motherboard.

yes, I plan to upgrade the memory on this in about 6 months. I currently have 4 gb (a steal at $20) and I am going to wait until I can get 2 x 4gb sticks to put those in as well, giving me 12 gb (assuming my mobo can support)
