FTP listing...

Here's an odd problem. I've tried to visit 2 FTP sites recently on my new system... It will connect and run though a few things, but then stop on directory listing and never show anything... It's not the site as they work fine on my laptop...

I have a firewall(Nvidia's) I disabled that and still have the problem... Windows firewall was already disabled. I doubt it's my router seeing as my laptop's going though it too...

I do beleive it worked before I upgraded my NIC drivers, but before I did that there were other sites that wouldn't load on here! Lose-Lose?

Hmmmm, definately sounds like the upgrade in drivers did the damage, check back with the company on any available fixes that might be of use. Its up to you which you choose, do you go back and have full FTP but only half websites or do you stay as you are and only have half FTP......??

UGH! Yeah, I'll probably just stay like I am now as it runs much better overall... I can always use my laptop to update...

Yeh, i suppose. I get that quite a lot now-a-days. Companies release drivers and tell you to keep them updated but all the new ones have bugs and errors in. I know that nVidia drivers are going way down hill at the moment. I have been forced to use one thats about 8 months old. (but its more stable than any of the new ones)

Oh really...perfect time for me to upgrade to nVidea, huh? -.- Maybe using another NIC wouldn't be such a bad idea.
