i recently upgraded my laptop to 2gb memmory.. but unfotunately i have to remove my previous 1gb ram(TWO 512mb sticks) although my laaptop have two memory slots one occupied with one 2gb memory stick ... it is unable to detect my previous either of rams .... but if i remove the 2 gb stick it happily accepts both the sticks ...

my question is how can i use my one of the rams along with my 2gb ram
