will you be using your computer for a lot of gaming? If so, both will do very well at gaming, while those people who are in love with AMD's will say "Get the amd, the amd is much better then the p4" I have a P4 3Ghz and it runs unbelievably great, with very smooth, no lag graphics. I would go with the P4 since its also better at multitasking

in a laptop the real slowdown of the system is the HDD. While the CPU still is important, it won't help getting an 80GB 4200RPM drive alongside it. Also, you'll want 1GB+ of RAM to go along with your speedy little processor, maybe more if you are doing intense stuff with your laptop (i'm thinking you are, a processor that fast is usually in "desktop replacement" laptops).

I would vote for the P4-M 3.33GHz machine.

I would go for the AMD... THe 3.33 GHZ only has a 533fsb. SO it's not even close to the performance of a regular p4 at that clock. Whereas the amd is the same speed as the desktop version.
