Default help! hp wont access 2nd hd!!!

i have hp a6150y pavillion desktop. using 3 hitachi deskstar 500g drives ...
hdt725050vla360 500gb, 7200rpm, sata

installed identical 2nd hd to the oem one. plugged in power cable, sata cable, restarted, worked fine.

i needed more room, so i got a 3rd hard drive, identical to first 2 (same model, manufactorer, capacity, ect) and plugged in sata and power.

restarted pc. it will show up in device manager, as well as RAID screen when computer starts up.

but, when you open computer folder, it only shows first(oem) and 2nd hard drive, but not 3rd. ran tests with pc, says all hard drives functioning properly.

i have also installed a invidia graphics card, with updaqted power suppply.

so, i disconnected my second hard drive, and installed 3rd in its place. still doesnt show up in my computer folder, and device manager and raid show it. but i cant access it, nor does it show up as a hard drive.

i wasnt sure if hp pavillion could handle 3 500g hard drives, but hp said yes.
i have a issue. i dont understand why new hd doesnt show up when i remove 2nd hard drive and swap in the 3rd one. doesnt show up as disk drive in my computer, but does in device manager.

when i reconnect the 2nd hard drive back, all works well again.

i tried disconnecting all 2 dvd drives, so only hard drives are hooked up. didnt work.

any thoughts?

i was going to get an external sata enclosure, and try it that way. see if it will work. kinda out of options.

all drivers say installed properly, and operating properly. im at a loss, any advice, suggestions, experience GREATLY appreciated, thanks, b

Have you gone into disk management and assigned it a drive letter and formatted it?
