Pentax K10D Gripped with an assortment of lenses.
If you were looking on Pentax's side, you'd want to look at the K20D, basically the same body as the K10D, but insides have been revamped. If you are already invested in Canon I would stay with them. However if you were going to venture outside the box the K20D can be had for a steal at $750.00 or so.

Before you do invent anymore money into the hobby make sure your with the brand you want to stay with. It's not cheap to switch later down the line.

I know what you mean, right now I have a 17-55mm, 70-300mm, and 430EX Flash. The 70-300mm is on eBay now and the 17-55mm would be sold with the XSi, so all I would need to do is find a buyer for the 430EX and I can pretty much start from scratch, that is of course I decide to deviate from Canon.

You're seriously having a tough time choosing between Canon and Nikon? Canon is your only choice

Call me a Canon fanboy, but I think Canon has quality products more so than Nikon.

No one can say that one company is better then another, both Canon, Nikon, Pentax, etc. have their good and not-so good products. The reason why I'm debating is because the 50D has had some not so great reviews, while the D90 has excellent reviews, although I'm biased to Canon since I've only used their cameras for long periods of time.

Opposite with me. I've heard great reviews about the 50D. My roommate has it and he's in love with it.

Dude go for the 50D, no doubt the best choice. I have used one myself (and I own a 40D) and it is a solid camera. AF is quick and accurate, the screen is amazing, it may have a slightly slower FPS then the 40D but it's more consistant, i have used multiple copies of both and I still think the 50D seems faster and smoother.

It also handles high ISO's very well, I have seen and expierienced many times that 3200 on the 50 looks like 1600 on my 40D, and if you put on the multiple layers of noise reducing it looks really good.

besides you already have all Canon gear dont you? stick with it!!

I cant say many negative things about the D90 as I have no personal expirience with it, but I do however know a friend that has all 3 (D90, 40D and 50D) and he says he preferes them in this order:
1. 50D
2. 40D
3. D90

I take his word for it as he's an expirienced photographer

Thanks for your input, I'm thinking about getting the 50D, 100mm Macro, and 10-20mm and paying for it with BillMeLater with no interest for 90 days and I get $20 off (I have the money now, but don't want to pay $2,200 right off the bat )

I was going to buy it from Amazon, $1,411 for the 50D with 28-135mm.
