Default Cache vs RPM

What's more important? I just bought a 32mb Cache 7200rpm Seagate 1tb harddrive. Is this supposed to be faster or slower vs a 10000rpm Raptor? I don't remember the cache on the raptor. It is about 1 1/2 - 2 years old though.
