Default Photo Organization Software

My fiance has TONS of digital pictures and wants a way an easy way to look at them and catalog them. I did some searching and theres a lot of software out there for this kind of thing, but I was curious what ones if any you guys had used. Any ideas?

Picasa is free. I used it for awhile and it wasn't bad.

They have gone commercial and ya have to put up with the bs.

As stated, Picasa would be the way to go.

However, if shes looking for something a little more powerful, I believe that is what Adobe Lightroom is geared for. It looks pretty nifty.
