hi to all just formaterd my mates laptop now its asking for password he did not use 1 any way can any good person help me out or and its a acer 521te
it not the bios password so can it be the hard drive password and 1 more thing can some 1 help to remove it because it,s stop,s me dead on start up thanks goodkid |

have a search around google for a free utility called "killdisk". It writes over every sector of the harddrive with 0's. This means taht any underlying sectors which may conatin security password fields will be deleted, when its finsihed simply reinstall windows and off ya go again.
