Default 30" LCD TV for computer screen?

I'm thinking of getting a 30" TV LCD computer screen for my computer because they are about 3 times cheaper than normal computer monitors.

I know the accuracy won't be as high, but there has to be something close to it, no? I find the prices of 30" ridiculous! The Dell ultrasharp is 1.6k CAD...

I already have 2x 22" LG's but I need something more spacious.

Any suggestions? I saw this real quick: http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/pro...C41C81672CD4F8

The TV you linked has a native resolution of 1366 x 768, which is a lot lower than your 1680 X 1050 22" monitors. Your average 30" monitor has a resolution of 2560 x 1600. It'll basically look like a blown up 19" monitor.

Not really, it'll be easier to run than his current set up as the TV has such low resolutions.

In a computer monitor, you're paying for the resolution and response time. I don't know of a 30" TV yet where you can get 2560x1600

Yeah, I saw the res, but it can't go higher than the native since I can config it with my comp?

Thanks for the feedback everyone.

You can't push a resolution above native, only below.
