Default UPDATE: Hard Drive Value Roundup: August 2009

Here is the graph--this is capacity on the x-axis, and GB/$ on the y-axis.

UPDATE August 2009 -- Thanks again gamerman4

UPDATE July 2009 -- Thanks gamerman4

It is definitely worth spending the money to get a 640GB hard drive. However, you get the most from your money with the 1.5TB hard drive. Sadly, the 2TB option is grossly overpriced and out of stock, and does not prove to be a viable option.

Best Everyday value: 640GB Samsung

$60 shipped

Best Overall Value: 1.5TB Seagate:

with coupon code: EMCLPPM55

$120 shipped

Nice. I'm going to stick this until the end of the month. Do you plan on updating it every few months?

I'd say 1.5 GB for $120 isn't the best value hard disk around atm!!

Do you mean TB?!?

You should get a graph from like 1970. It'd be like One Soul / GB

26% of reviewers gave that Seagate 1 out of five stars, no great value there
