Default hotmail login issue.. virus

not sure if this is a virus.. maybe someone can give me some insight...

I tried to login into my hotmail account and it said that i didn't have an inbox set up and that i would need to register for windowslive but it showed my contact list and profile but no inbox.. so i tried my other hotmail accounts and it just kep spitting me back to forms to register for windowslive or the blank fields to login for hotmail... so i thought maybe my internet explorer browser was corrupted?.. so i login to hotmail on firefox it works.. i leave it open and then go back to internet explorer.. and it logs me in as well.. so i close firefox.. log out on the internet explore and log back in.. it works.. what the heck? seems to be fine now.. what do you guys think.. was it just he browser.. is there some kind virus.. have to scan it some more.. needed to access my account so haven't thoroughly scanned it yet.. let me know what you guys think..

thanks

It's not a virus; it is happening to everyone. Somebody screwed up on their end.
