Help----Mouse problems

Computer--Sager 665 laptop running Windows 98se

Problem--Whenever i boot up the computer my mouse won't work right. It is a trackpad mouse and when i try to move it it goes crazy and starts clicking on everything and i can't control it. When i try to move it it won't go to the middle of the screen but rather stays in the left side corners. It really pisses me off because i cannot do anything on my computer at all.

Any help will be greatly appriciated

Is there the touch pad in your laptop?and is it Ok?if the touch pad is ok,just consider the system problem or your mouse problem.Make sure you have installed all of drivers.
