Default Font Problems

I'm having a problem with my letters bleeding together on the top of open windows. Images and fonts on webpages and in games seem to be fine. I've always seemed to always have this problem when I use ATI cards and never with NVidia cards. Just wondering, has anyone else has had this problem?

Default

1. Set the resolution to the LCD's native resolution
2. Install the latests drivers
3. Enable the LCD font smoothing features in Control Panel --> Display --> Appearance --> Effects
