Feb. 27 our internet went flakey going off or on and slow. It was the same on both laptops using wireless. I left the country for 7 weeks and my family had off and on internet on the older IBM. I called Comcast and they said there was no signal so they came out. Comcast came and said it was my modem and they took it and replaced with one of theirs. Same story, off and on and still no wifi. The second tech said the wireless router was no good and that it was our laptop. The family used the laptop out of the house with a LAN cable fine. Meanwhile I accessed LAN and wifi for 7 weeks outside the US fine. Two more techs came and said NO problem. Ya right.
I came back April 5 and no wifi, no LAN. I called again and a man from Comcast came and said he had to fix something outside. We had internet 4 days and then out. I called the 6th man came and he said we needed two new laptops a and recommended Apples. I sent him out politely and got sr. tech support. He said he would investigate this. Meanwhile I had the IBM rebuilt and the router checked. The computer specialist said the router was great and our IBM was fine BEFORE be rebuilt it and now is even better. I brought it home. I still have LAN internet. Our IBM cannot AND the router has excellent signal as always BUT we cannot connect. I am desperate and frustrated. What could this be please?
