New Problems, Please Help

Ok, so I posted on the hardware section earlier today about how I wasn't able to install windows xp because it didnt recognise my hard drive, well I have crossed that bridge now.

Now I have everything installed and windows works fine but when I plug a phone line in the back of my computer all of my phones go dead and It wont dial me on to the internet or anything. Could someone please help me with this problem.

So all the phones in your house go dead when you plug your phone line into the computer? I might think there is a hardware problem, or maby a problem with the wiring (for the phones) in your house.

Well, I am on a computer in the house now that has worked on the internet for 2 years, so I don't think it is the phone lines even though they arent very good. What type of hardware problem would that be?

You may have a bad dial-up modem that is opening the line and that kills all your phones. If you have a spare modem laying around, you could try putting it in just to see if its a modem issue.
