Would programs cause a problem with reboots too?

Just a shot in the dark, but.
Do you get any warning messages, saying "so snd so program not responding"?
Also, after you have closed all programs, and just before you go to log off, open "Task Manager" and look under the "Applications" tab to see if any programs are listed as still running. Also, while in "Task Manager", check under the "Processes" tab to see if any apps. are sucking alot of resources from the CPU. I've had to un-install Norton Internet Security twice in the last 6 months because parts of it (ccApps) weren't shutting down. Check it out.
