Battlefield2 Problems

I am having some problems with loading the BF2 Demo. When I try to start the game, the screen turns black and then flickers a little bit, and then goes back to the desktop and never loads. Ive been looking around some other forums and it seems other people are having this same problem, but I haven't really seen a solution to it. Here is my setup:
-WinXP Media Center Ed.
-P4 HT 3.0GHz
-512 RAM
-GeForce 6600GT (AGP)

The only thing I could think of is that on the list of supported cards, the only one that is listed is the 6600GT (PCI-express). Could the AGP model not be supported? Any insight is welcome.

512 of RAM just dosent cut it for bf2 also see if u card has pixelsshader 1.4 or it wont run
