Unhappy hard drive total space problems

hi guys, im new to this page and really hope you can help me...
My hard drive properties says I have 76,6GB in total space and only 2,83GB free... I have a program called Glary Utilities, that program includes a feature called 'Disk Analysis', this program reports disk space usage by files and folders.
IT shows my total hard disk space is only 41,17GB and as before only 2,83GB free...
My dad also told me we are supposed to have two hard drives working as one... over a yeah ago we had the coputer formated and cleaned by some dude...
I'd like to know who's lying? how can I find out? Is it possible the dude that fixed our computer stole the bigger hard drive and somehow made the computer display 76,6GB??

Thanks for your time.

Open up the computer and see if there are 2 hard drives. Should be one on top of the other. If not, let us know.
Or take a picture and upload it here if you are not sure.

What kind of computer is it? And if your dad said you were supposed to have 2 running together, and some guy fixed it, I'm not too sure who to believe. Hopefully once you get me the make and model of the pc I could figure it out, unless your dad built it or had it build.

it's been put togheter over the years...
isnt it possible to join two hard drives and have them only display as one? I thought that was what was done a few years ago... I never really looked into it until now... since the last time we had it fixed i learned a lot and can now probably fix any software problem we may encounter... but, I dont know if its possible for the properties of the hard drive to display something else that what really is...

Yeah, if they were put together right, they should be displayed as one complete drive.
And Glary Utilities works fine with my 3 drives that are separated. But My Computer shows you that you have 76.6GB total space? And I think the Glary Utilities might have a bug in it. Try and update Glary Utilities from inside the program and see if that fixes anything.

Then glary is working correctly. Looks like someone jacked your smaller drive. Make sure there isn't another hard drive in your BIOS. If there is (for some weird reason) then you know someone removed it.

ok... remind me how I acces BIOS please...

I guess in there it will show the true total space of the harddrive in case there's only one?
And it is possible to make My Computer display something else in total space?

Answer this first. Are/were both drives SATA? (small thin cables). Or IDE? (flat fat cables). And it isn't really normal for a computer to do that. It all depends what the guy that worked on the pc did.
In example, my 8GB samsung mp3 player (it is still a storage device) once showed it as a 332TB drive. So there can be glitches in the system depending on what was previously done.
To enter the BIOS: depending on your machine, it will either be F1, F12, or Del. There is a slim chance its ESC, but when it boots up, it should tell you
on the bottom of the screen
