Default Can't connect after os install

Hello everyone. Please excuse me if this is an inappropriate thread for this forum, I wasn't sure which one to put it in.

I reinstalled windows 2000 on a Compaq Armada E500 and now it won't connect to the web. Everything else works smoothly. It use to connect to the web before the os install. I installed wireless card drivers but it still won't connect to the web through the ethernet port or wireless. Does anyone know which driver it needs or what it needs because I'm not sure. I'm sure it's nice and simple but I'm stumped. Any ideas are much appreciated.

Thanks,
Danny

Hey thanks for your help. Yeah I've been there, but which driver does it need? Is it a card driver or a modem driver or what? I think I tried card drivers but they didn't help. I don't think I tried the modem driver. Could that be it?

It's probably the "Mobile Intel PRO/100 NIC Drivers" for the Ethernet port.

Your Wireless should be the "Compaq WL110 Wireless PC Card Drivers". It's odd that they wouldn't work because there's no other WLAN drivers listed.

Did you connect to your modem Wirelessly in the past?

Thank you again youre being a big help to me. Its for someone else and yes she use to be able to connect wirelessly, but now she can't connect wirelessly or through the ethernet port. I really appreciate your help on this and I will send her links on how to go about fixing this problem with her laptop (she lives a couple states away, other than that I would do it for her lol). Thanks!
