i just got an asus f50 sv notebook and i read on the reviews that it comes with a lot of bloatware. can anyone help me in distinguishing bloatware from what i actually need/ want?

i think this might be relating to the pre installed stuff that slow down your system, for example on any pc world bought item has installed "The Tech guys" programs which drastically slow it down.

wow that thing is loaded with shit, erm i personally havent owned an asus before but i dont think you need all of that asus stuff on there.
but wait for someone else to correct me if im wrong. - i personally do a fresh install on whatever laptop or desktop i buy. |

Yup, do what tremmor says. As for what you can disable, pretty much everything depending on what functions you use. Keep the touchpad stuff if you use the touchpad shortcuts, keep the hotkey program if you use the "fn" key, etc. Everything else can go unless you regularly use it. If you disable the third party wireless stuff, you might have to go into wireless settings and enable "Use windows to configure my wireless settings".
