Default Wireless Problem

Hello Im new here. I am using a Toshiba Satellite Pro Running vista 32 bit. When connected to a wireless internet connection occasionly my connection goes. When diagnosed it says i need to turn wireless capabilty on which is on using the external switch and the fn and f8 keys. The problem is not my router as it happens in college aswell as at home. Eventually after a few attempts to repair or restarting fixes the problem.
I have a feeling this problem only happens when im on battery power and not on ac but i am not 100 % sure of this.

Can anyone help?

Try updating the wireless card driver and see if it helps. Its also possible that a windows update is causing the issue.

Sounds like its the wrong driver. I would try updating the driver on it. If not, Uninstall and reinstall the wireless card with default drivers and see if that helps. If you need to know how to uninstall the device completey and reinstall it, Let us know and we will walk you though it. I have had similar problems and it turned out that It was more then 1 wireless network conflicting with one another.
