I'm looking for a laptop for college. I won't be doing any gaming on it.
I'll be moving around with it, but it doesn't really matter whether it's light or heavy. This will replace my old Dell desktop. I have a $800 budget. Help Please.

2 year warranty, and if you register with asus within 60 days you get a year of free accidental damage protection for drops/spills/fire/surge.

HP Pavilion G60-230US 16.0-Inch Laptop This is a great laptop for the price. great look and performance. But as is said in other comments, not the lightest laptop on the shelf. I'm mostly writing this for those who may stumble on this in the very near future You can save 37% Toshiba Satellite A355-S6925 16.0-Inch Laptop Excellent Laptop. The graphics are very good, and the space in the hard disk is more than enough. The screen is maybe too wide. Runs fast and quiet. Runs cool anywhere from 95 - 105 degrees f. It attracts fingerprints, and includes a soft cloth for wiping them off. The mouse buttons are a little stiff, and the web cam isn't to impressive, but it is better than some I've seen. The wireless is extremely good on it.
