If you have integrated sound then pop your motherboard driver disc in to install them.
If you have a sound card then again it would have come with a driver CD. If you haven't any of these then download something like "PC Wizard", this will give you all the info needed to do a search with google for them.

Bill, assuming you have integrated graphics. Run PC Wizard and under Hardware/System Summary the screen should tell you what make of Mainboard you have.
As an example "Mainboard : Gigabyte 945P-S3" Google "gigabyte 945P-S3 drivers" which should give you the option of the manufacturers site where you can download them.

I think sometimes you have to go into BIOS and integrated peripherals might be turned off for audio. I know that it happens when you add a sound card to your pc. Try that if what TFT posted up doesn't work.
