Default Motherboard Layout?

Hey all,

I need a picture/explanation of the motherboard for a Compaq Presario SR1020NX. I'm having a little bit of trouble hooking up the plug-ins for the power/reset/HDD buttons. If anyone could provide some help, that would be great.

Cromewell...

Thanks for the link...unfortunately, it doesn't specify which plug goes where. the problem is that the power switch that came with the PC is one block, the power/reset/HDD switch that came with this new case has 4 different blocks, and i have no clue where they go...haha. fun times!

you could plug the front connector back in and follow where the individual cables go, that would help you determine what plugs in where.
i think the only reason they use those connectors is that it makes assembly easier

I had a similar problem, and its no fun. It was some sort of proprietary layout, all the grounds on pins 6, 7, 8, and 9. I had to take a hack saw to the plugs so I could connect them to the right pins. Hope you don't have to do that, as it was a royal pain.
Good luck!
