Default Question about triple channel DDR3 Ram and Overclocking

I have already ordered my RAM - so it's kindof a moot point right now - but I'm still hoping to learn from the experience. I got the G-Skill 1600 RAM.

I had a local PC retailer tell me that Corsair 1333 RAM rated at 1.5 v would be better than getting a 1600 RAM rated at 1.65 v for overclocking which is something I plan to do at some point in the future.

Can somebody either debunk the concept - if he was correct in his advice - and if so - explain the logic behind getting a lower mhz RAM to ultimately get a better performance out of your PC vs getting a higher speed ram from the starting point.

Thanks
