Default How hot should an AMD 3800+ get.

Ive got a 3800+ and it runs at 59 celcius and i think it gets a bit too hot from other people telling me that... so im thinking of buying or upgrading my fans

Where are you getting the temperature reading from and what is the case temperature?
I'd say that that is a bit warm for a processor but if your system isn't unstable there might not be a problem.

Yeah, that's a bit warm. Are you getting enough fresh air into your system? What kind of HSF are you using?

45c is a temp to target at, it has alot to do with the HSF and the case itself, i have an aluminium case, two 120mm fans and my proc stays at 30 - 32c with no load, it use to be at 44c no load before i switched cases, if your plannig on getting new case fans try to get some 120's , or just get a really good heatsink and fan

Yes, but most cases come standard with 80mm fans. I've only seen 120mm fans in "nicer" cases. Of course this will all still depend on what kind of case Faaj has.
