Default Video capture issues...

I'm trying to capture home movies from a standard VCR to a TV capture card.

I've managed to set it up fine for DVD's, using composite connections, but in the VCR there's no video composite, only two audios. There's also two scarts and and aerial in & out.

I've tried running the signal through a scart-to-s/video converter (this kinda thing) but the picture comes out black and white. I understand only luminescence info is sent when a composite signal is converted to an s/video one.

So, my problem is how can I, using the VCR connections above, capture video through s/video and it not end up black and white, or via composite without a video composite on the VCR? I guess this is probably an easy one, but I'm tired and any help would be appreciated. Cheers.
