sharing folders
how do i make it so i can share any folder? i use to be able to do it until i got nortan 2005, i tried turning off firewalls and stuff but when i try to share a folder it says i have to move them to shared documents but that folder isnt even shared?? and when i try share that folder it says the same thing.
on my other comp everythign is working fine i can share any folder i want on it! thanx |

Try disabling the whole of norton, not just turning off the firewall. Also, disable cannection firewall in windows. After that, try re-joining the network by using the network wizard....?

some of nortons settings need to be changed to allow the other pc, i dont have norton beucase it is sh*t at doing that sort of thing, mcafee is much better

mcafee is a resource hog and takes ages to load, anyway, yes try reinstallin and then when it asks you to join the network, select HOME. That should load all the settings that you need for sharing files on a home network
