I have a pair of bose 2.1 speakers
love them but just today noticed some "Buzzing" sounds coming through the headphones in the background when i was watching a tv show on my comp tried a different tv show file same thing tried different headphones same thing

Disable(mute) microphone/line in input.

Try plugging your speakers / headphones into the alternative Jack. My PC's all have a jack on teh back of PC - and a jack on the front of PC panel.
I had a similar issue on an older PC - and it ultimately was the Jack on my PC. I had bumped my headphones out one too many times - where I screwed up the jack somehow. When I plugged it in the back of the PC - it sounded fine.
